Can I Trade Any Title for Any Title?

Conditionally. All titles are rated based on a system of current market value comparisons and translated into GamerBarter Ratings. Games can be traded for other matching titles of equal or lesser value. Alternatively, you can have the difference in Scale-Value taken out of your Refundable hold fee at a rate of 20% per scale, up to the full hold fee.

Are Trades Platform Specific?

Trades are not Platform Specific. For example, once launched, any three scale game for the Xbox 360 can be traded for any three scale game for the PlayStation 3, and vice versa.

Can I trade Titles from other/unsupported platforms?

No. Not Yet. Currently, it would be a logistical nightmare to rate games that have been out of print for some time, and the value system would become unfair. Select rare and special titles may be added, such as God of War I, II, and Marvel vs. Capcom 2, etc. Keep visiting for updates.

Can I trade several titles for one title of a higher value?

Yes. Our goal is to keep a constant supply of high-demand titles. This enables us to have more products on hand to reduce wait times for future trades and for other traders. To trade multiple titles for one title, simply add the additional titles in the optional "additional titles" field when on the specific game trader page.

Can I trade one title for several titles?

Yes. We will deduct a standard transaction fee for each game you receive from GamerBarter, from your refundable hold fee.

Why can't I have the contact info of the other trader(s)?

In an effort to maintain visitor privacy and protect their anonymity, we promise not to share private information about our traders. As a broker for traders, it is our duty to receive products(games) test and ensure quality, and barter these goods in a satisfactory manner that would ensure all trade parties receive fair trades. This method also protects both parties from theft or harassment from other traders. GamerBarter.com cannot be held liable for fraudulent or unfair trades or services that are negotiated with other traders encountered via our forums or site. For your protection, stick to making safe trades via the links provided on the trader pages. Should you choose to trade with another visitor to our site via the forums, we would not prohibit this, but you would do so at your own risk.

Does GamerBarter do International Trades?

Not Yet. Our site is currently opened to only the United States and Canada. We currently do not have a support system for international trades but are working on such a system. This might involve a seperate section of our site for strictly international trades. This option will be allowed as soon as it is feasible.

I do not have a PayPal account. Can I still trade?

Yes. All financial transactions are processed via Shopify and Paypal, and they accept all major credit cards. Again, none of this information is forwarded to GamerBarter.com or our hosting company Startlogic.com.

Can I negotiate trades with other members in your forum or outside the site?

Yes. Though we discourage trading with unknown guests via our site, we do not prohibit trading with other traders who post offers via our forum. As explained above, GamerBarter.com does not bear responsibility for losses incurred from dealing with unknown individuals encountered via our forums. While we wish to foster trades among gamers, we do not advise giving financial data of any sort to individuals encountered on this or any other site. How do I Sell games via GamerBarter.com?

As we receive new or special requests for certain titles, we will update our "wanted" page that is linked via the banner to the left. Only games that are listed as "Sell Now" will be purchased by GamerBarter. Currently, only PayPal customers can use this feature as our payments are made via PayPal. As the site matures, we hope to add additional sources for processing payments to customers.

I can't find my game on this site. What do I do?

If your game is not listed, it is probably because that platform is not supported yet, or that your game is obsolete. In addition, we only carry limited movie genre and sports games as these do not hold their value. If you still feel that your title is a worthy trade, you may try our Request Games link to make us an offer and it will be reviewed.

 

Barter Trust Ratings

New customers are subject to standard trade pricing and policies as described above. We will raise your Barter Trust Rating by a certain percentage, based on several factors affecting your trade outcome. Factors such as your game condition, shipment punctuality, and communication responsiveness impact your Barter Trust Rating either positively or negatively. Trader's who hit 80% Barter Trust Rating are considered Expert Traders and are subject to lower transaction fees.

PROMO CODES

--We may occassionally advertise Promo Codes via ecommerce channels, in order to provide discounts or bypass the refundable Trade (Hold Fee).

--For eBay Promo Codes, only the winning bidder can utilize and bypass the Trade (Hold Fee).

--Depending on the Promo Code, you may either receive a reduced Trade (Hold Fee) prior to checkout, or a full Trade (Hold Fee) refund at the end of the trade.

-All Promo Codes may only be used once.

 

Trade (Hold Fee) where applied.

Having a Trade (Hold Fee) ensures that all trades are completed in good faith with you, our customer. The Trade (Hold Fee) is collateral, from which a small transaction fee will be deducted, then, the remainder will be refunded to you upon completion of the barter process.
